“In life as in football, you won't go far, unless you know where the goalposts are”
Arnold H. Glasgow

This quote means that in life if you don't know where your goals are at you wont know where to go. This is just like in football, if you don't know where the goalposts are you won't know where to go or what to do. You always have to have something there to remind you where and what to to do in life to guide you in the right direction. This is really important because it so true what Arnold says, you have to pay attention and listen carefully to know what the real message is. You need to understand what they are trying to say so you can succeed and try hard. An example of this quote is that you want to start a career but you don't know what to do or where to start off. This is the same thing as having a football field without the goalpost, you won't know what to do. This is why you  need to start off with writing or typing down some of your goals in able to do good in that career that you want. You could make a life planning journal to help you out, you write a few goals that you want to accomplish and you reread them and you do them. This can help you little by little to do and accomplish what you want. This quote proves that you need to have goals and make them happen in order to do good or you will be lost without them.

“Only those live who do good”
Count Leo Tolstoy

This quote means that if you choose the right and always do good in life then you will live on happily. If you are a bad person then you won't be living as long because you are not doing good and have nothing to live for. The only way to live happily and successfully is to do good and choose the right because. This is really important because it shows you how you can pursue life and life to the fullest of your ability. That is by doing good 24/7 and if you don't then you will never forgive yourself for that and you will live in misery and die. Always take good advice and listen for once because that's how you can live and grow. For example like Tom Brady in the super bowl he he dedicated the win to his mother who has been sick. He didn't rub it in anyone's face that he won, he didn't even mention that he won. All he said is that he did it for is poor sick mother. Since he did good he will be living on forever for his act of kindness. This is a wonder example of always choosing the right and hopefully other people will do the same right after they witnessed the amazing act by Tom Brady. Once again always choose the right and do good because that's how you will live on and grow.

“ I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it.”
Dr. Ben Carson

This quote means that if you live in a life or lifestyle that you don't like for example like poverty just like Dr. Ben Carson was. You can change that because it's all just a choice. You have to make sure you work hard and do everything you can to change it because you want to become better and stronger than what you were before. If you don't like something you can always change it because by working hard and setting goals for yourself is the right place to start if you want to make a difference. This is really important because if you put your mind on something you don't like or want to change you can do it. It all matters what you do in the future and how you decide to change it. Now remember to choose the right path because if you don't you will end up with the same result if its either poverty or something else you're having a problem with. For example you are failing some of your classes and now you realize how it's going to affect you in the future. Now you decide to make a difference and you work hard everyday. You are always studying, doing homework, class work, and now you are finally meeting your goal. Always remember if you don't like something, it's just a choice, you can work hard and change it for the better.

“Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG IS NEVER RIGHT.”
Russell M. Nelson

This quote means that even though you see everyone doing something it is still wrong because it's never going to be right. If everyone in school and your friends are doing something bad you know it wrong and it can never change. This is important because you don't want to be peer pressured into doing something just because everyone else is. For example you find you group of friends smoking along with other people, even though they are doing it wrong is still wrong. You know you shouldn't join them so you simply walk away. If they ask you anything just say no because wrong is still wrong and can never be right. Another example is that you are at a big party with everyone at school and they are drinking. You know it's wrong because it can cause lots of damage to your brain and you don't want that. This is why you avoid bad thing and stay choosing the right. Wrong is never right no matter what the situation might be. Something wrong can never turn into something right it's just the way it is. Always choose the right because that's how you're going to succeed in life. No matter what 10 to 100 people are doing it's always going to be wrong. Once again don't be peer pressured just because other people are doing it.
