Duties and responsibilities:
An Optometry Technician work with Optometrists to assist in eye examinations and treatments. They usually work in their offices but some work in an eye care clinic and other vision treatment facilities. They work in testing patient visual acuity, depth perception, pressure inside of an eye, pupil reflexes and color vision. Not only that but they also prepare schedule exams, ready exam rooms, assist in making or preparing eyeglasses, clean equipment and other duties as needed.

Education:
To be an Optometry Technician you should have your high school diploma. Also an optometry technician training for 2 years and to be more competitive an associate's degree will help. Some courses you can take can be anatomy, physiology of the eye, optics, and others.

Demand for this profession:
The demand for this profession seems to be really high. It is expected to grow 23 percent from the years of 2014 to 2024 for medical assistants.

Reflection:
In my perspective I would not like to be an Optometry Technician or Assistant. It is just something I am not interested in. I don't really have an interest in eyes or do anything with eyeglasses. I would prefer something different that I would actually like to do in my future career.
