      This quote means that if you you don't have any goals or plans then you are basically going to be lost in life and you won't know where to go. If you don't know what a rudder is then it is the little fan in the back of the ship that help it move to its desired location. I you don't have a location to go to or a destination to land at then you have no goals. In order to go somewhere you need to have a plan of how to get there and that's basically your goal. Your goal is what you want to do in life and how you're going to steer your life. But if you have not goal then you will just be lost and you will just steer your ship in circle and stay where you are because you have nowhere to go. Just like if you have no goals. This is why it is important to have goals in life and to accomplish them because then you will go places just like a ship. For example you want to get into college but you don't know how because you haven't set a step by step goal for yourself. Now you are lost and have nowhere to go so you decide to just give up. That's never the solution that is why you write down daily goals everyday to make sure you have your life under control just like the ship.

Memorial Day Weekend

      During this Memorial Day Weekend I did lots of fun activities with my family. First of all on Friday we went to Redondo Beach with my grandma because she was leaving the next day. We walked around and saw all the boats and oceans. Then on Saturday we said bye to our grandma and grandpa because they were leaving back to Mexico. All of our family members came to visit before they left. I got to see all my uncles, aunts, and cousins. The next day, Sunday, we got up bright and early to go to Knotts Berry Farm Soak City. First we went to go eat breakfast and then we entered. We got in the Tide Pool where there were waves and then to the Lazy River. After that we decided to leave because it was really packed and since we have the season pass we could go whenever we want. Once we got home we took a shower and got some rest. Then on Monday, memorial day there was no school so we decided to go to the mall. It was really full since it was a holiday with lots of specials in stores. We didn't buy anything since all the lines were really long so we just walked around. Then we bought some hamburgers and hotdogs to make. We invited our family and neighbors to eat as well. Not only that but I had to finish up my 4 to 6 page essay with 10 paragraphs for my English class on a book, across a hundred mountains we just finished reading.

      This quote means that whenever something wrong is done or something bad, nothing is ever healed completely until that one special word is said. I forgive you. That is all you need to say in order to recover from something bad that has happened. If you don't say that then you could live in anger and depression all you life. No one wanted to be that sad all their life so might as well so something good for everyone. One simple word can change everyone's feelings, emotions, and it could even affects someone life in a positive way. They will always remember the day they felt happy once more by just one simple word. “Forgive” is very important just like this quote because it shows everyone that you should forgive in order to recover. For example like this one video we watched in this class. It is where a guy was drunk driving and killed two girls. He was going to jail for 22 years until one special lady (one of the mother's daughter that died) said the magic word, forgive. She said a speech how they should cut the years in half and sent multiple letters saying why. When she did that she felt a sort of relief and happiness and now they are going to different high school explaining to never drunk drive and why people should forgive. Always remember when something bad has happened you should always forgive.

“Dare to do right.”

      This quote means that if you ever dare someone to do something it should always be to choose the right. Son next time you are playing truth or dare with your friends choose the right and make them do something good. You should never peer pressure someone to do something there not suppose to. Instead choose the right and play truth or dare in a nice amicable matter where no one gets hurt. It is the funnest and the safest way to play. Even if you are not playing that game you should always choose the right in the decisions you are making. This is really important because it shows us how to be safe and smart while being fun at the same time. I totally agree with Rex D. Pinegar because he speaks the truth about this topic. For example you invite your friends over to your house and play. You guys decide to play truth or dare and someone starts of with something bad. You know that's not right so you have to stand up and do something about it. You tell them to choose the right and dare to do right because you know whatever they said is not right. Even if it might seem cool to do something rebellious it really isn't because you can hurt people in many ways, physically or emotionally. So always remember dare to do right.

“Dare to stand alone”

      This quote means that you should stand alone when other people you might be hanging out with are choosing the wrong. When you see people that are not doing the right thing you should always mine your own business and stand alone to avoid the consequences. If you are alone don't worry you are independent and strong because you're not the one that doing all of those bad things. This is really important because it shows us how we can be b strong and a CTR person by stepping back and being alone. I agree with Thomas S. Monson because He is such a great influence to people. He encourages others to choose the right which everyone should be doing. For example you and your friends are playing truth or dare and they dare you to do something. It may be gross or uncomfortable to you, so you should dare yourself to stand alone. You leave them because they are not appropriate and not choosing the right. They may think you are over reacting but it is worth it because you don't have to suffer the consequences. Always remember to choose the right and stand alone.

Physical Therapist

Duties and responsibilities:

      Physical therapist help people recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. They work with patients to regain movement and manage pain. They are fully licensed to practice therapy and  treatments on patients to help their momentum. They have the ability to reduce, pain, reduce function, and prevent disabilities. Not only that but they intend to strengthen muscles or stretch them as well as relieve pain. They provide care for people in variety types of environments such as hospitals, private practices, school, sports, etc. State license is required in each state in order to perform any kind of physical therapy.

Salary: $84,020

Education:

      In order to become a physical therapist you need to earn a graduate degree from a program in physical therapy. Those programs take about three years to complete. To gain admission you need to earn a bachelor's degree in any types of science course. They usually have anatomy, biomechanics, pathology, etc.

Demand for this profession:

      The demand for this profession is very high this time. It is expected to grow 34 percent according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This will be from the years of 2014 to 2024.

Reflection:

      I would not like to be a physical therapist because I don't really have interest in that type of career. I would prefer something a little different from his. It does seem exciting but just not the right thing for me to do in the future.

      This quote means that if you have good goals written down in somewhere special for example your life planning goals journal and if you keep accomplishing them then everything will be amazing. If you are always writing down a victory next to them then you will begin to notice that everything you have done right will soon fall into place and good things will start happening to you. If you chose to do the right thing then you will for sure succeed in life and you will be happy and everyone around you will be so proud of you. Maybe you can even encourage and inspire them to make some goals for themselves and completing them. For example you want to get an A on your math test the next day. The only way you can achieve that is to study so you do that all day until you know it. Once you take that test it will be a piece of cake and guess what! You aced it because you worked so hard and studied all day. You got a good grade and now your report card will fall into line with all the straight A’s you have. Always remember to complete your goals and you will succeed.

Actor

Duties and responsibilities:

      Once an actor gets the role they need to memorize and study their script. Sometimes they change and some parts require singing, dancing, or performing stunts. In order to bring the character to life they change their voice, or facial expressions. Not only that but they also were many different costumes and props which they must learn how to use appropriately. Long hours of working are sometimes requires as well as travel. They also have to deal with the bad weather, harsh lights, heavy costumes, makeup, and little time to get ready. They can work in movies, television shows, theater, commercials, parks, etc.

Salary: $37.47 per hour

Education:

      To be an actor there is no education needed. Although there are many theater actors that hold a bachelor's degree in their field. They can also have formal training. Most actors do refine their skills through university classes or programs they have.  

Demand for this profession:

      The demand for this profession is not that good. It will be expected to rise about 10% which is something but not a lot. This can be in the years of 2014 to 2024.

Reflection:

      In my opinion I would like to be an actor. I don't think i’ll be very good at it but it will be nice to give it a try and do something different. I think it is very interesting to act out all the different characters and watch them come to life. I would've never thought about this type of career but it seems fun to do in the future.

Phillip Riggs’ Four Success Tips

      These tips are very important because it shows how to become successful and achieve all your life goals. If you follow all of these tip as you are working you are sure to become the greatest just like Phillip Riggs. Since he became successful, he probably used these tips for himself as well. I agree with these tips from Phillip Riggs because it shows us how to be the best and work hard because that is the main point. If you follow these amazing tips you will end up in the right path. You have chosen the right and therefor will become happy. These tips are a way to guide yourself to do the right and choose the right. For example if you are have difficulty in completing your goal and achieving them maybe you doing something wrong. You should look back at these tips and make sure you are following them. When you do, you will make everyone proud including yourself. Always remember if you want to succeed always follow these tips and you will be on the right path.

      This quote means that if you have good values that will be the most important thing you can ever have. Having good values means a lot because they are really important to who you are as a person. If you didn't know already good values are for example, being loyal, friendly, passionate, caring, thankful, ect. I could go on and on but unfortunately it wouldn't fit on here. A value is something that you think is more important than anything else. It is more important than love, happiness, family, etc. It is so strong that you will do anything for it. This is really important because it shows us how much good values really mean. I agree with him because he speaks the truth and he is a CTR person. An example of good values is when you go out to the beach with your pet. Then all of a sudden you see your pet and a stranger drowning. You feel the need to rescue your pet but it's a good value to save the stranger.

      This quote means that in any time that you make a decision or think about one, the only thing you should think of is choosing the right. If you are confused or stuck on the decision you should always ask yourself, what is the right thing? This can help you out a lot if you don't know what to do. This is an amazing statement because it teaches people that whatever decision you make it should always be the right one. I agree with him because he is so inspirational and always speaks the truth. For example, you friends invite you to go to a party with their friends. You don't know what to do because you also need to finish homework dur the next day. So then you ask yourself what should you do? Well ask yourself another question, what is the right thing? Going to a party or finishing your homework. You should always do the right thing when making a decision so you stay at home and finish your homework. You should always do the right thing even though you are tempted to do the wrong. If you do the right thing then you will get good karma in return. For example, since you decided to do your homework then you will get a good grade in return.

      This quote means that if you choose to do the wrong then you will learn and gain nothing. This is because doing whats wrong is never something someone should be doing. You just wasted you time doing something bad and making other people feel bad as well. For example, you are walking in the hallway and you see a piece of trash on the floor. Instead of picking it up you just keep on walking and ignore it, that is choosing and doing the wrong. You need to be responsible and caring to our community and everything around it. By doing that the only thing you gained was nothing but bad. On the other hand if you choose the right (which everyone should do) you can be a very happy person and make everyone's day with a simple thing you did right. You should always choose the right because you can gain many things such as trust or respect towards other people. Always remember to choose the right and be a CTR person.

      This quote means that it is outstanding to see someone choose the right and step up to do something important. Everyone should be able to do this because doing a little good never hurt anyone. When doing good it is a great happy memory to have because you know you brighten up someone's day. When doing what's right they have to have character. That is the main part of choosing the right because it shows how much they care. It shows how much respect and care they have towards other. For example, You see someone cheating and you don't know what to do. You finally stand up and decide that is not right so you go and report it to your teacher. That is something other people should do as well if they witness anything similar to this. Always remember to stand up and choose the right.

      This quote means that if you ever say your word of honor to do anything you have to be able to keep it and live by it. Your word of honor means everything it is like a promise. This is really important because it teaches us to always choose the right to keep our work and never let go. I agree with him because once you say your word of honor you have to commit, never give up and prove that you are strong enough. For example you tell your parents if you could go out with your friends and they say it is fine. They tell you to be home by 10. You have to keep that promise to your parents no matter what happens if there is traffic or a problem going on. You should be prepared and ready to go.
