Environmental Health Specialist

Duties and responsibilities:
Environmental Health Specialists makes sure that the health and safety conditions in residential, commercial, and other place are good and clean for people. A person that works in this profession may also be know as a health or safety inspector. They work in a very wide range of settings. They might work in houses, offices, or schools. Most environmental safety specialist work for the government. They help inspect plants and factories for pollution, check restaurants for cleanness, schools, and many more. Some specialist may also collect samples of soil, air, and water. Then they test it to find out if it is hazardous to people or not.

Salary: $37,300 -$57,551

Education:
To be an environmental health inspector you are required to have at last a bachelor's degree. They need work in chemistry, biology, public health, and many others you can choose from. Those who want to work for the government have to complete a certification course administered by the local, state, or federal agency.

Demand for this profession:
The demand of an environmental health specialist is expected to grow 11%. Not a lot but still is planned to grow throughout the years or 2014-2024. People do not seem as interested in the environmental health career.


Reflection:

I would not like to be an environmental health inspector because I do not want to go inspect and check places that might have hazardous chemicals that can kill us. Also because it just doesn't seem interesting to me and i would like to look at more interesting and fun careers i would like to do.
