Medical Illustrator

Duties and responsibilities:
Medical illustrators are artists who work in the field of medicine. They make detailed drawings of textbooks used by physicians and students.They may illustrate the step by step surgeons take during operations. They could also draw a healthy part of the body compares to an unhealthy one. Medical illustrators also pair up with scientist, physicians and other specialists. Some of them work for hospitals, and universities. For illustration they may use ink, charcoal, paint, pencil, and  more. For sculpting hey may use clay, wax, plaster, wood, plastic, or metal.
   
Salary: $59,000 per year

Education:
To be a medical illustrator most schools require to have a bachelor's degree in biological sciences or art. They must show samples of their artwork.
  
Demand for this profession:
The demand to be a medical illustrator is very high especially because of the medical illustrators that graduated this year.  


Reflection:
I would like to be a medical illustrator because when I was little I used to always draw things up till now. I think this will be a very fun and interesting thing to do. It is something I that I will like to do in my future career. I've never thought about doing this but now I found out how interesting it might be. It will be something that I like doing and it like it.
