Duties and Responsibilities:

They put all necessary supplies and surgical tools to be used by doctors and nurses. Not only that but they keep track of all items used during surgery to make sure nothing is misplaced. Once everything is done they clean up the room and deliver the patient to recovery. These important responsibilities contribute to the success of surgical operations. Without them everything would be mess and very disarray.

Salary: $45,940 for all surgical technologists

Education:
To be an operating room technician you need to graduate from an asserted surgical technology program. Training programs are also available. The programs can be 9-15 mounts certification or diploma. It can also take two-years associates degree program.

Demand for this profession:
The demand for this profession is very good. It is expected to rise 15 percent for all surgical technologist. This is from the years of 2014- 2024.

Reflection:
I would not like to an operating room technician because I do not want to see people in surgery with all the blood. It is not something I would be interested in for my future career. I would chose something different and something I actually like to be doing.
