The Neurosurgeon
Duties and responsibilities: Neurosurgeons are also known as brain surgeons, they perform surgery on the brain, spinal cord, to remove tumors, relieve pain, treat wounds, disease and disorders. They also use surgery to relieve hydrocephalus, the abnormal build-up of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. They target use of radiation to treat tumors people might have.

Salary: $559,255

Education: To be a neurosurgeon you first need to complete four years of undergraduate school, followed by four years of medical school. They take at least 6-7 years of neurosurgery residency training. Over the next six years they complete 42 months in core clinical neurosurgery. Several programs are required to pass the primary exam. They must have a medical degree, several years of training, state licensing, and maybe even board certification.

Demand for this profession: The demand to be a neurosurgeon is very good right now. It is expected to grow 14% for all surgeons and physicians. This should be through the years of 2014-2014.

Reflection: In my opinion I would not like to be one because I'm not really interesting in doing surgeries for the brain. I would like to be doing something else that I would enjoy doing in the future. Some people would enjoy doing this, but not me. Even though I won't consider doing this it is a pretty cool job to be doing for other people
